A bit of inspiration for all you racers and supporters heading out this Sunday for the London Marathon 2024.

This Sunday, the streets of London will be teeming with runners from all walks of life, all ages, and all with their own unique reason for taking on the iconic London Marathon.

Looking back at some of the remarkable athletes who have tackled the 26.2 miles includes Fauja Singh, who at 101 years old, he holds the record for the oldest person to complete a marathon.

His accomplishments span across the globe, but it is his London Marathon story that truly captures the spirit of this gruelling race.

Starting at the relatively "young" age of 89, Fauja Singh first took on the challenge of the London Marathon in 2000. He completed the race in a remarkable 6 hours and 54 minutes, smashing the world record for his age group by a whopping 58 minutes.

Fauja Singh's dedication and perseverance continued year after year. He tackled the London Marathon course multiple times, inspiring countless runners along the way.

This year's London Marathon might not see Fauja Singh himself on the course, but his legacy lives on. Good luck to all the racers this weekend. We hope Fauja Singh's incredible journey can inspire your run.
